Our Fall 2026 enrollment takes place through the Piedmont Recreation Department. You can create a log-in and sign up here.

Each class occurs on Wednesdays from 4-6pm at the Piedmont Memorial/Veterans’ Hall, 401 Highland Avenue.

Each class is two (2) hours in length. Our sessions (cohorts) vary in length, ranging from 5-10 weeks depending on the location and partnership.

Youth who are enrolled in each session/cohort are expected to attend each week. We do not offer drop-in classes at this time.

We enroll eight (8) youth per session. This helps maintain a safe kitchen environment where students work in small teams to follow the recipes.

Baking Wellness is not exclusively for Piedmont teens. Youth outside of Piedmont are welcome and encouraged to apply!

The enrollment fee greatly supports staff and program costs, including baking tools, ingredients, cleaning supplies, and aprons.

Participants will take home baked goods to share! We are also brainstorming ways to use the baked goods for promotion and sales in the future— stay tuned!

While items are in the oven, we play ice breakers/team builders to get to know each other better. We also incorporate discussion on wellness and have time for reflection.

Yes, Baking Wellness focuses on positive youth development and social emotional learning– two evidence based frameworks that guide teaching youth in a group setting.

We understand schedules are busy and things come up! If a youth is enrolled in the program and needs to miss a class, please let us know as soon as possible. If you know that you will be missing more than one (1) class in a session, please consider applying to a future session.
